The CDS-PP in Santana has re-elected Martinho Rodrigues as the president of its Municipal Political Commission during a meeting of militants and sympathizers.
Dinarte Fernandes will serve as the second-in-command, with Teófilo Cunha presiding over the Municipal Committee. At the event, the president of CDS-PP Madeira, José Manuel Rodrigues, presented four key priorities for the upcoming Regional Budget and Investment Plan: housing, strengthening the network of care homes, wage increases, and measures to combat the cost of living.
Proposals include public, private, and cooperative investment in housing, with the establishment of the "Habitar + Madeira" Fund. The party also advocates for reinforcing the network of assisted living facilities, raising the regional minimum wage to 1,050 euros, and implementing fiscal measures such as a 30% IRS refund and VAT reduction.
