Chega MP Demands Eduardo Jesus Lose Control of Air Links

Chega (CH) Member of Parliament Francisco Gomes has argued that the oversight of the Autonomous Region of Madeira's air links should be transferred from the Regional Secretary for Tourism, Environment and Culture, Eduardo Jesus.

Gomes asserts that Eduardo Jesus "lacks the capacity and any political credibility" to defend the interests of Madeirans in this sector, deeming a reorganization of the Regional Government's competencies necessary.

The MP accuses the regional secretary of prioritizing the interests of hotel groups and airlines over the needs of residents, proposing that the responsibility for air links be moved to the Economy portfolio due to its strategic importance for the region's competitiveness and mobility.
