The Directorate-General for Consumer Affairs (DGC), via the European Safety Gate system, has issued a recall for several Citroën models. The issue involves a potential fuel leak from the high-pressure pipe, located between the high-pressure pump and the fuel rail.
The problem is believed to stem from nuts that may not have been properly tightened during the manufacturing process. If a leak occurs, there is a risk of fire in the vehicle, meaning the affected models do not meet European homologation and safety requirements.
The models included in the recall campaign, identified by code GJ6, are the Citroën C3 Aircross V3, C3 V5, C4 V3, C4X, C5 Aircross, C5 Aircross V2, C5X, and Basalt.
