The Convent of São Bernardino will mark Frei Pedro da Guarda Day this Monday, July 27th.
The commemoration will feature a Eucharist service at 6:30 PM, followed by a lecture. Professor Nelson Veríssimo will discuss the representations of Frei Pedro da Guarda in Manuel Tomás's 1635 work, 'Insulana'.
Book VIII of 'Insulana' is dedicated to Frei Pedro da Guarda, spanning approximately 40 pages. Admission to the event is free.
