Cristiano Ronaldo has been named the best all-time Ballon d'Or winner, with his 2008 performance chosen as the top one by fans in a vote held on the organisation's website.
Ronaldo's first win, in 2008, beat Messi's 2012 award in the voting. His 2017 Ballon d'Or, won with Real Madrid, placed third in the ranking.
Ronaldo and Messi occupy the top 12 places in the list.
