The Diário de Notícias da Madeira celebrated its 150th anniversary with a special animation program on Fernão de Ornelas street in Funchal.
The street, known as Marquês de Pombal street, saw crowded cafes and a stage set up on the north side promenade in front of the Funchal Radio Station.
The festivities included the 'Marcha do 31', and celebrations will continue until October 11 with a gala at the Savoy Palace.
