The exhibition 'Revisited Islands', by artists Joana Viveiros and Rosa Coutinho Cabral, opens to the public on August 12, marking the centenary of 'The Unknown Islands'.

The exhibition “Revisited Islands”, by artists Joana Viveiros and Rosa Coutinho Cabral, curated by Hugo Olim, opens to the public on August 12 at 4:30 PM, simultaneously at the Casa das MUDAS Galleries and Galeria.dois.

The initiative celebrates the centenary of the publication of Raul Brandão's book "The Unknown Islands" and is the result of a partnership between MUDAS.Madeira Contemporary Art Museum, the Atlantic Culture Promotion Agency, the Archipelago Center for Contemporary Arts (Azores), and CHAM Center for Humanities.

Selected from 14 proposals, the artists undertook a joint artistic residency in February, inspired by Raul Brandão's work and exploring island life, culminating in this exhibition which runs until October 31.
