A serious workplace accident occurred in Machico, resulting in the death of a man approximately 29 years old.
The incident happened when the victim fell from the fourth floor of a building currently under construction, situated near the Prestige City Center. Emergency medical services (EMIR), the Public Security Police (PSP), and the Santa Cruz Volunteer Firefighters were dispatched and attended the scene.
The victim, who is survived by two minor children, was working on the construction site at the time of the fall.
