The FinMadeira project organized a financial literacy session for young individuals aiming to study Medicine, as part of the 11th edition of Get.IN2.MED.SCL.
The initiative, by the Madeira Youth Medical Association, focused on "University Ahead! Now, How Will You Manage Your Money?", covering topics such as personal budget management, accommodation and food costs, savings strategies, tax deductions, and the differences between bank accounts and cards.
FinMadeira also introduced resources like a personal budget simulator and a free certified online course in financial literacy, comprising five modules. Project coordinator Joana Rodrigues emphasized the role of financial literacy in fostering autonomy and informed decision-making for young university students.
