A fire erupted on Rua das Maravilhas in Funchal, leading to the mobilization of several emergency services.
The Madeira Volunteer Firefighters deployed two vehicles and seven personnel to combat the flames. The Public Security Police (PSP) are also on site, along with an ambulance from the Portuguese Red Cross. The Funchal Fire Brigade is present with at least three vehicles.
According to eyewitness accounts, the roof of the affected building has already collapsed. Authorities are continuing to manage the situation on the ground.
