In the first phase of the national higher education access competition, 328 students from Francisco Franco Secondary School secured their top choice.

Francisco Franco Secondary School announced that 328 of its students were admitted to their preferred course and institution as their first priority in the 2026 national higher education access competition. This figure surpasses the national average, with 65% of students achieving their first choice, a rate 11.4% higher than the national average.

Furthermore, 95% of the school's students were placed in one of their top three preferred courses, exceeding the national average by 10.5%. Among the most sought-after courses by Francisco Franco students were Medicine and Basic Medical Cycle (48 placements), Management (38), and Computer Engineering (32).

In total, 546 students from the school applied for higher education in the first phase, with 502 being admitted. The University of Madeira was the institution that received the most students, followed by ISCTE and the University of Lisbon.
