Francisco Franco Secondary School achieved remarkable success in the past academic year, securing 102 distinctions out of 435 participations in national, regional, and school-level competitions. This achievement represents a success rate exceeding 23% and a record number of student involvements in initiatives across various fields of knowledge.
The most significant results were achieved in regional competitions, where students secured 34 first places, 13 second places, and 14 third places. Nationally, the school also reached the podium with one first, one second, and one third prize. Furthermore, five first places, one second, and one third were obtained in school competitions, along with 31 honorable mentions.
A notable individual achievement was by Diogo Paiva Gouveia, an 11th-grade Visual Arts student, who won the Secondary Education category of the national competition 'Desafios d’Arte 2025/2026'. As a prize, Gouveia will undertake a trip to Nuremberg, Germany, accompanied by a family member. His teacher, Isabel Lucas, who guided him, also received a trip to the same destination.
