The prices of the main fuels consumed in the Autonomous Region of Madeira will increase by around 9 cents starting next week, bringing gasoline and diesel prices above 2 euros per liter.
Super unleaded gasoline 95, currently priced at 1.921 euros per liter, will rise by 8.9 cents to 2.010 euros. This means an additional 4.45 euros for every 50 liters of gasoline purchased. Road diesel will increase by 8.5 cents, from 1.951 euros to 2.036 euros per liter, costing an extra 4.25 euros for a 50-liter fill-up.
These price hikes follow the approval of maximum retail prices for fuels, effective from Monday, which have been published in the Official Journal of the Autonomous Region of Madeira. Global factors such as the war in Iran, geopolitical tensions in the Middle East, and the closure of the Strait of Hormuz continue to impact fuel costs.
