Funchal Bay hosts two significant sea kayaking competitions this Wednesday, July 1st, organized by the Madeira Regional Canoeing Association.
The first event, the 1st stage of the Nelo 510 Cup, begins at 9 AM with 119 registered kayakers in SS1 Nelo 510 boats, representing five regional clubs. All categories will compete over a 4-kilometer distance.
Following that, at 10 AM, the 2nd stage of the NP Canoeing Schools Championship - Sea Canoeing commences, aimed at youth categories. This competition will feature 71 young kayakers from the same five clubs, racing on 2-kilometer courses in SS1, SS2, and SUPC vessels.
