The Bishop of Funchal, D. Nuno Brás, commemorated the 110th anniversary of the death of Sister Maria da Assunção Wilson, founder of the Servants of Our Lady of Fatima, known as the Victorians.
The ceremony took place at the Funchal Cathedral, where the prelate highlighted the importance of the charisma and legacy left by Sister Wilson and her congregation.
The Bishop emphasized the Victorians' dedication to serving the needy and their contribution to Madeiran society for over a century.
