This situation prompts questions about whether there are enough parking spaces for so many vehicles. Data from April 2026 indicated 18,045 parking spaces counted by the Municipal Chamber, including municipal, public, and metered parking.
Considering private parking spaces in residences, which, according to the 2021 Census, total a minimum of 39,255, the overall figure reaches 57,300. The difference from the registered vehicle count exceeds 30,000, but this does not directly represent a shortage, as it excludes private garages for businesses, hotels, commerce, services, condominiums, and does not account for rental cars frequently operating outside the municipality.
