The Funchal Municipal Chamber (CMF) carried out an awareness campaign at the Funchal Ecological Park, aimed at campers and visitors choosing the location to watch the 2026 Madeira Rally.
The initiative, attended by the Environment Councilor, Paula Jardim, reinforced the message of sustainability and environmental responsibility. Three essential aspects were addressed: correct waste disposal, adherence to rules of good coexistence, and forest fire prevention.
To accommodate the influx of 317 campers in 145 tents, the CMF enhanced on-site resources with additional recycling bins and portable sanitary facilities. Surveillance was intensified, and the Funchal Volunteer Firefighters maintained a preventive presence, ensuring safety and response capability.
