The Funchal City Council (CMF) has increased its human and material resources for the maintenance and sanitation of public spaces during the Madeira Rally, continuing a practice from previous years.
Cleaning and washing operations are focused on strategic, high-traffic points, including Praça do Povo, the access tunnel to Praça CR7, and Avenida Sá Carneiro. The aim is to prevent waste accumulation and facilitate proper disposal, with additional bins placed in areas expected to attract crowds.
A special cleaning operation, involving approximately 12 workers and a fleet of vehicles, has been deployed for peak attendance moments, such as the Super Special stage on Avenida do Mar and the awards ceremony. The CMF urges everyone to cooperate by using the provided waste disposal facilities correctly, contributing to a cleaner city.
