The Regional Secretary for the Economy, José Manuel Rodrigues, visited the Rally of Madeira 2026 Secretariat, describing it as "Madeira's biggest event" in terms of public involvement, security, logistics, and economic impact.
Rodrigues highlighted the organizational capacity of Club Sports da Madeira, which mobilizes around 2,000 people, and mentioned the Regional Government's support of approximately 450,000 euros, which he deems a "well-made investment" due to the economic return generated.
The event is seen as part of the region's identity, with many people planning holidays around its date, and it contributes to Madeira's tourism promotion. The secretary also emphasized security, with the participation of about 700 PSP officers.
