Journalist Nicolas Fernandez will discuss the history of the launch of TSF Madeira, a station that began broadcasting in the Autonomous Region in October 1997 on frequency 101 FM.
The event, titled "The Radio That Changed Time," will take place on August 6th at 7 PM at Galeria Anjos Teixeira in Funchal. It is proposed as a public meeting and a political-cultural debate, part of the gallery's "History with Stories" program celebrating the 50th anniversary of Madeira's Autonomy.
Fernandez, with an extensive career in radio and regional press, was part of the initial group of journalists who launched TSF Madeira. He served as its Head of Newsroom in Madeira between 2000 and 2004. He began his professional career in 1990 at Posto Emissor do Funchal and is a regular commentator on RTP Madeira.
