Funchal Port welcomed over 4,600 people on Wednesday aboard the cruise ship Ventura, which sails under the P&O Cruises flag.
The vessel entered Funchal Bay at 7 AM and stayed until 4:30 PM, marking a 10-hour call. On board were 3,451 passengers and 1,181 crew members.
Now 18 years old, the Ventura, built by Italian shipbuilder Fincantieri, was refurbished earlier this year. It is currently on a two-week cruise departing from and returning to Southampton, England, with Funchal as its first port of call.
