Funchal will host its Rooftop Festival from September 25th to October 3rd. This multidisciplinary event will encompass painting, photography, visual arts, music, gastronomy, and astronomical observation.
The initiative aims to enhance the city's appeal by utilizing its rooftops, exploring spaces that offer privileged views of the sea, mountains, and urban landscape. The festival, which is free and organized around World Tourism Day, brings together various partners and provides a different way to experience the city.
Due to capacity limitations, prior registration will be required via an online form. The festival's program will take place at venues including Castanheiro Boutique Hotel, Barceló Funchal Oldtown, Observatório do Parque Ecológico, Complexo Balnear do Lido, Torre dos Paços do Concelho, Museu de Arte Sacra, Miradouro da Vila Guida, The Vine Hotel, and Three House Rooftop Cocktail Club.
