The Portuguese Institute for Sea and Atmosphere (IPMA) forecasts periods of very cloudy skies for the Region today, July 27, 2026.
On the north coast of Madeira Island, there is a possibility of light, scattered showers. The wind will be light to moderate, blowing from the north/northeast at speeds up to 25 km/h.
For the Funchal area, periods of very cloudy skies are also expected, but without any forecast of showers. The wind will be light, below 15 km/h.
Regarding sea conditions, on the north coast, waves are expected from the northeast at 1 to 1.5 meters. On the south coast, waves will be less than 1 meter. The sea water temperature should be around 22 to 24 degrees Celsius.
