Funchal, Madeira, will host the celebrations for the 52nd anniversary of the Armed Forces General Staff (EMGFA) from October 2nd to 4th. The event, under the motto “In the Pearl of the Atlantic, Together for Portugal,” aims to strengthen the connection between the Armed Forces and the Madeiran population.
The three-day program will include various military and cultural initiatives. Madeira's selection highlights the region's strategic importance for national defense and promotes closeness with citizens.
The celebrations will coincide with the ATLAS 26 military exercise, which will test the Armed Forces' response capabilities in crisis situations and exercise joint operations among the three military branches. The EMGFA invites the community to participate in the events.
