A pumpkin measuring approximately 1.23 meters in length is attracting attention on Caminho da Pedra Mole, in the municipality of Ribeira Brava.
The specimen belongs to Maria Cecília Teles, 61, who has seen the fruit grow far beyond its usual size. A retiree, Maria Cecília dedicates part of her time to cultivating the land, having planted this pumpkin in May, which began to grow unusually.
Maria Cecília does not yet know the exact weight of the pumpkin, as she intends to let it ripen before harvesting. She believes the weight will be significant, and it is already drawing the attention of neighbours and visitors.
