The start of the week was marked by significant traffic congestion on Madeira's Via Rápida. Before 8:00 AM this Monday, an approximately 4-kilometer stretch of slow-moving traffic was recorded.
The disruption extends in the Machico - Ribeira Brava direction, starting from the Cancela area and continuing to the Pestana Júnior junction. This is currently the main area of concern on the island's roads, impacting those seeking a smoother journey.
Authorities advise drivers to exercise caution, particularly as roads in the north of the island, including Porto Moniz, São Vicente, and Santana, as well as parts of Machico and Calheta, are wet.
