The Health Service of the Autonomous Region of Madeira (SESARAM) is embroiled in a controversy over the awarding of a hospital laundry contract.
SESARAM had initially chosen Dorilimpa, whose bid was €290,000 lower than Serlima's. However, this decision was reversed, and the contract was maintained with Serlima, the company that has provided the service for the past 22 years.
This turn of events has prompted both competing companies to take legal action, initiating a dispute that impacts the management of hospital services on the island.
