Hugo Costa and Elena Vaseva were crowned the winners of the inaugural Pico Ruivo Vertical Challenge. The mountain running event took place at the highest point on the island of Madeira.
The competition drew athletes who competed in a challenging ascent to Pico Ruivo, testing their physical and endurance limits on the mountainous course.
