The Sanctuary of Nossa Senhora do Monte was filled on Sunday morning for a Mass of Thanksgiving celebrating the 10th anniversary of Father Vítor Sousa's priestly ordination and Nova Missa.
The celebration brought together hundreds of faithful, family, and friends for a moment of gratitude and recognition of the priest's pastoral journey serving the Diocese of Funchal. Among those present were former parishioners from the Penha de França Chapel, where Father Sousa began his ministry, and members of the Nossa Senhora do Monte parish community, where he has served as parish priest since 2018.
The ceremony saw significant participation from various parish movements and groups, highlighting the priest's dedication over the past decade. Afterwards, many personally congratulated Father Vítor Sousa on this significant date.
