The Portuguese Institute for Sea and Atmosphere (IPMA) has placed 14 districts in mainland Portugal under a yellow alert today.
The alert is due to the risk of "rain and thunderstorms," with adverse weather conditions expected to persist throughout the day.
Authorities advise caution and recommend that the public take necessary precautions given the forecast of unstable weather.
