Madeira now has a direct connection to London Gatwick with Jet2.com, operating two flights a week.
The new route was marked with a celebration at Madeira Airport, attended by the crew and local teams.
The link strengthens travel options between Madeira and the United Kingdom and connects two airports in the VINCI Airports network.
