João Vide Barbosa and Andrea Nilsson took first place in the North-South classification of the Warm-Up Pairs, scoring 69.61%. The event was held on 2 November as part of the 29th Madeira International Bridge Open.
A total of 174 pairs played across 87 tables, serving as a preparation stage for players taking part in the main events. Yaniv Zack and Ronni Barr-Benin finished second North-South with 64.74%, followed by Eythor Jónsson and Anna Sigridur Karlsdottir with 63.83%.
In the East-West ranking, Christian Lahrmann and Mads Eyde won with 62.87%. The tournament continues in Funchal with further events, including the team competition over the weekend.
