Santa Clara returned to winning ways in the Portuguese Primeira Liga with a 0-2 away victory over Marítimo in Madeira, in the 10th round of the championship.
At his post-match press conference, coach Petit said the result was “fair” given the chances his side created, while acknowledging that Marítimo had threats from set pieces and crosses. He added that his team could have scored more.
The win lifts Santa Clara to fourth place with 21 points, level with third-placed Sporting.
