The JSD Funchal, through the São Gonçalo Parish Nucleus, visited the Regional Civil Protection Service to learn about the entity's work.
The young social democrats described the unit as "excellent" and highlighted the Regional Government's continuous investment, which has improved response capabilities.
Topics discussed included public training in first aid and basic life support, as well as the crucial role of firefighters. JSD praised investments in qualifying fire corps, specifically mentioning the Porto Santo Fire Brigade.
JSD Funchal believes the visit "should prompt reflection on the civic necessity for all of us to also be agents of Civil Protection."
