The JSD of Câmara de Lobos held a conference on Thursday dedicated to territorial and landscape management, with the participation of the Regional Director of Territorial Planning, Ilídio Sousa.
The session, titled “Territorial and Landscape Management: Contributions to Sustainability and Development,” took place at the local PSD headquarters and brought together young people to discuss territorial planning and sustainability challenges.
Licínia Jesus, president of JSD Câmara de Lobos, emphasized the importance of territorial assessment and the role of landscape in quality of life. Ilídio Sousa advocated for territorial organization that balances environmental sustainability and social responsibility, mentioning the BUPi platform.
The JSD believes sustainable development is crucial for functional and safe cities, offering benefits such as increased green spaces and better resource management. The event included a practical session on territorial planning platforms.
