Over 60 players, divided into eight teams, participated on Saturday in the second edition of the Juventude Popular (JP) Futsal Tournament in Madeira. The event took place at the Pavilhão dos Trabalhadores.
The initiative was part of the European Week of Sport celebrations, under the #BeActive motto. The tournament concluded with the awarding of trophies to the top three teams and individual distinctions. The winning team also received a group canyoning experience.
According to the organizers, the aim was to "create a meeting moment among young people, where sport would be the starting point for socializing, participation, and the creation of new experiences." Several local political figures were present at the event.
