Leões de Portugal – Sporting Solidarity Association, IPSS, has announced the opening of a delegation on the island of Madeira. This initiative marks a new step in the expansion of the institution's activities, which has been dedicated to solidarity for over four decades.
The new structure will enable Leões de Portugal to develop initiatives and establish closer relationships with local institutions, entities, and partners. Key areas of the association's work include awarding scholarships, supporting vulnerable families, and promoting solidarity actions, as well as assisting the senior population.
Marco Freitas, president of Sporting Clube da Madeira, has been appointed general coordinator of the delegation. The opening is part of the association's growth strategy, aiming to bring its experience to new territories and strengthen its presence in Madeira.
