Cement sales in the Autonomous Region of Madeira totalled 43.8 thousand tonnes in the third quarter of 2026, a 2.7% decrease compared to the same period last year.
However, there was a quarterly increase of 5.2%, with 2.1 thousand tonnes more sold between July and September compared to the previous quarter. Year-on-year, the quantity sold decreased by 1.3 thousand tonnes compared to the third quarter of 2025.
In contrast, the value of cement sales rose by 5.6% year-on-year, reaching 7.3 million euros. For the first nine months of 2026, the quantity of cement sold in the region fell by 1.6% compared to the same period in 2025, but the sales value grew by 6.2%.
