Madeira Enhances Emergency Communications with 140 New Radios

Emergency team communications in Madeira have been bolstered with the delivery of 140 new radios, comprising 90 portable and 50 mobile units.

The equipment, intended for Portugal's Integrated System for Emergency and Security Networks (SIRESP), represents an investment of 237,656 euros from the Regional Budget.

The handover ceremony took place at the Regional Civil Protection Service facilities, organized by the Regional Secretariat for Health and Civil Protection. The radios aim to improve communication and coordination among civil protection and security personnel during emergency operations.
