The Autonomous Region of Madeira is bracing for another fuel price hike, with road diesel set to hit a new historical record of €1.999 per liter starting Monday, August 31st, and remaining at this price until September 6th.
This new price marks a significant increase from the current €1.974 per liter and brings it dangerously close to the two-euro-per-liter barrier, a threshold never before reached on the island.
The situation is similar for unleaded super gasoline 95, which will also see a record price of €1.898 per liter, up from the current €1.860. Marked and colored diesel will also rise to €1.538 per liter, the second-highest price of the year.
