The price of houses in the Autonomous Region of Madeira saw a 7.5% rise in June compared to the same month last year. According to the idealista price index, the median cost to buy a home in Madeira was 3,697 euros per square meter.
Among Madeira's municipalities, Santana recorded the largest annual increase at 24.6%, followed by Calheta (18.6%) and Câmara de Lobos (11.7%). Calheta remains the most expensive municipality for housing, with a median value of 4,107 euros/m2, followed by Funchal (3,921 euros/m2) and Ribeira Brava (3,519 euros/m2).
On the island of Porto Santo, house prices experienced a positive annual variation of 25.1%, with the median price reaching 3,638 euros/m2. Nationally, housing prices increased by 8.9% over the last 12 months.
