Madeira Maintains Cheaper Fuel Prices Than Mainland Portugal and Azores

The Regional Secretariat for Economy has announced that, for the upcoming week, fuel prices in Madeira will remain cheaper compared to the Azores and mainland Portugal. The Autonomous Region of Madeira will continue to apply maximum public selling prices (PMVP) that are lower than those homologated elsewhere, despite recent price increases.

This policy aims to preserve the competitiveness of Madeiran businesses and mitigate the rising cost of living for residents. The Regional Government has consistently prioritized this approach, particularly since the conflict in the Middle East began, by reducing the Tax on Petroleum Products (ISP).

The new maximum prices will be €1.768 per litre for Super Unleaded 95 gasoline, €1.666 per litre for road diesel, and €1.224 per litre for coloured and marked diesel. These prices are set below those in the Azores and mainland Portugal, with notable differences across all fuel types.
