The Madeira Memory Cafe resumes its activities next Saturday, August 22nd, with a session focused on oral hygiene care for people with memory problems or dementia.
The event will take place at the Funchal Community Center, in Edifício 2000, between 9:30 AM and 11:30 AM. Dentist Catarina Nepomuceno, who specializes in Geriatrics, will be the guest speaker.
Under the theme "Autonomy vs. dependence in daily oral hygiene care," the session aims to discuss the challenges associated with maintaining oral hygiene and the degree of autonomy individuals have in these practices. The Memory Cafe is an open meeting point for people with memory problems, caregivers, family members, and the general community. No prior registration is required.
