The price of houses for rent in the Autonomous Region of Madeira increased by 7.8% in September, compared to the same month last year, settling at 15.9 euros per square meter. These figures are from the idealista price index.
Despite the annual rise, the September value represents a slight decrease from the historical high of 16.2 euros per square meter reached in August. In Funchal, rents also rose by 7.4% in the last 12 months, with the median price standing at 16.8 euros per square meter.
According to idealista, the demand for rentals in Madeira continues to exceed available supply. Nationally, the average rental price increased by 6.1% in the last 12 months, reaching 18.3 euros per square meter.
