The National Association of Spirits Companies (ANEBE) will participate in Spirit of Life Week 2026, an event taking place in Brussels from September 7-10.
Portugal will be represented at the beverage exhibition by Madeira Rum and Poncha. The event will cover topics such as the competitiveness of the European spirits sector, international trade challenges, the relationship between alcohol and health, and the protection of Geographical Indication products.
European policymakers, producers, and representatives from the hospitality and tourism sectors are expected to attend. João Vargas, Secretary-General of ANEBE, emphasized the importance of Portugal's presence to defend international trade and protect regional products.
