Madeira's Regional Government President, Miguel Albuquerque, expressed confidence in the continuation of the region's economic growth, highlighting 62 consecutive months of expansion.
Albuquerque also guaranteed that all projects funded by the Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRR) will be completed in the archipelago, mentioning initiatives such as the creation of 600 new places in care homes and the construction of 325 housing units, with completion estimated between September and October.
The official also voiced hopes that the region will maintain its economic growth and historically low unemployment rate, currently at 3.5% in the second quarter of 2026.
