Madeira currently has 4,930 registered firearms, a decrease of 830 weapons compared to 2015.
In contrast, the number of valid firearm use and carrying licenses has increased by 18.5% over the past decade, reaching a total of 1,286 licenses. The majority of these licenses are associated with hunting activities.
