Madeiran fencing officially begins the 2026/2027 season with the Madeira Super Cup for Foil and Epee. The event takes place this Saturday, October 3rd, at the Sebastião Herédia Fencing Hall in Funchal.
The Regional Association of Fencing of the Autonomous Region of Madeira (AERAM), the organizing entity, confirmed that the day also includes the first stage of the Regional Epee Cup. The competition starts at 9:45 AM, with participant gathering scheduled for 9:15 AM, and the award ceremony planned for 1:00 PM.
Although the Super Cup symbolically opens the season, regional competitive activity has already commenced with events for the initiation, cadet, junior, and senior categories.
