The Madeira Teachers' Union (SPM) has scheduled a press conference for Monday, September 7th, at 11:30 AM, at the union's headquarters. The purpose is to analyze the process of teacher placements in the Autonomous Region of Madeira.
The SPM criticizes the measures adopted by the Regional Secretariat for Education (SRE), alleging increasing precariousness for tenured teachers, the masking of teacher shortages, and the degradation of professional conditions. The union believes these decisions could negatively impact the quality of education.
The union announces that it will take protest measures to bring greater visibility to the issue. The conference will also serve to advocate for greater transparency, stability, and appreciation of the teaching profession.
