The President of the Regional Government, Miguel Albuquerque, announced that Madeira will maintain its fiscal reduction policy, notably the 4% VAT rate for controlled-cost housing construction.
These measures, aimed at supporting housing access and economic competitiveness, are expected to be included in the Region's 2027 Budget. Albuquerque reiterated economic growth as a priority, underpinned by private investment and business support.
Furthermore, Corporate Income Tax (IRC) will be lowered to 12.6%, with a goal of reaching 10% by the end of the legislative term, enhancing the island's fiscal attractiveness and job creation.
